I was thinking, what is the appeal of violence? If somebody comes to a show, or a house party or whatever with the intention of starting a fight, what are their motivations? It seems to me like the best best possible outcome is you hurt someone, and have made a new enemy. That doesn't benefit you in anyway. I mean, nothing positive can come out of it. it's honestly very baffling to me. Is it borne out of sometime of nihilistic self-destructive sentiment? Or possibly the notion that someone who executes violence sucessfully will be more sexually appealing? What do you guys think?
In all honesty I think that people who go out looking for violence are just straight up attention starved. Some people feel so low about themselves that any attention, whether it's positive or negative, is something to make themselves feel better (but it doesn't really make them feel any better because they'll just keep doing the same things over and over again). It's the same thing with bullies and what we're all taught when we're younger - if somebody picks on you it's probably because they have something terrible going on in their own life and instead of dealing with the pain they want to push it on other people too so that they're not alone. And the funny thing is that it usually is the case. No matter what their stated reason is (oh he did this she did that etc. etc.) it's all just an attention game. If you ignore them completely they'll eventually go away - either that or they'll realize what a fucking idiot they've been and change their ways haha. _________________ Psyko Punk Productions, LLC
