it's still all cool. the only thing that's changed is all beverages have to be in a cup. it's actually more awesome this way because it makes cleanup easier to control!

that sounds like something I'd like to read, and watch grow, like a child growing into adulthood. let there be no mistake though, it's not fun if theres not an explaination (short story) of why the accused party has been black listed.

That was Dave and Roy's decision. They banned DY and of course they banned Ricky.

But Dy was playing while all that went down, why are they banned? Did their music influence kids to fight, like Ozzy influenced kids to commit suicide?
Someone please explain the justice & logic in that! Dy has played there several times & there was never any trouble. Why should this isolated incident target them for a ban?

One of DY's friends was the one who attacked Ricky.Banning DY was Roy's decision.I understand why they banned Ricky:he fucking called the cops on the place.

whoever runs the myspace page seems to disagree with you guys about the alcohol thing. there was a bulletin today saying that shows with alcohol will have to wait to be scheduled until after non-alcoholic shows. it went on to say "WE PREFER THE PLACE BE DARK AND UNUSED RATHER THAN DEAL WITH ALCOHOL". I hope this isn't actually the case

I saw that too

liability. i can understand it. its a risky business running a venue that has a see nothing say nothing policy about boozing. alot of young punks fail to recognize the risk taken especially in such an upscale town. i think roy deserves alot of credit for opening his doors to such a rowdy bunch. everytime i go there i make an effort to tell him how much the place rules.

Hi, this is Dave. Ok, first off with regards to Dysfunctional Youth, it's not the band specifically that we have any problem with. But as many of you know, the people involved in the incident were guests of that band, so Roy made the decision to ban them. We can't read people's minds, and frankly we are limited as far as what we can do to stop violence. Obviously we have to do something, or the place will get shutdown, and Roy felt that there has to be some responsibility as far as people controlling their guests. The vast majority of people are peceful and respectful, but it only takes really one person to ruin it for eveybody. Generally speaking, if you know somebody who is prone to getting in fights, don't invite them. We want to keep the prices reasonable, and full time security is expensive. I understand the other poster's point about the band not being responsible for the actions of their guests. However, those individuals (who started the fight) were not people who regularly attend our shows, so why would they care if the place gets shut down? This case was also unusual in the sense that it directly lead to arrests and charges being filed against the owner (which are still pending). Dysfuntional Youth is not banned from attending events, but for the time being thay are banned from playing. That may change if the legal situation blows over.

The other thing you have to realize about the internet is that in this day and age, the internet is still a big secret. Since there is no way for unscrupuous people who belong to large armed government backed gangs to monitor it, it is completely an open forum. We all know we come down to the meatlocker to worship satan and eat raw baby flesh, but as long as we only talk about these things on the internet, there is no chance of anyone ever finding out about our evil.
So to answer your question, the policy has always been that there is no smoking or drinking allowed at the meatlocker, and there never has been.
